What CMMC looks like in Ohio

Two very different buyers shape Ohio. Around Dayton, Wright-Patterson draws research, engineering and aerospace work. In Columbus, the Defense Logistics Agency's supply center buys parts from manufacturers across the state, many of them small shops.

Ohio's federal manufacturing extension center is in transition: NIST lists the former state center as closed and a new operator was named in September 2026. Until its regional offices are set, the APEX Accelerator network is the steadiest public starting point.
